Première at the International Partner Days: Lindner presents the Urraco ECO

The focus is on applications for waste wood, green waste and commercial waste – with a drive concept designed accordingly and Lindner’s proven quality.

Following the successful autumn 2025 launch of the Urraco EVO series for heavy-duty applications, Lindner has now achieved another milestone in mobile shredder solutions. “We are proud to be able to bring the next model in our Urraco line to the market in less than a year and have intentionally positioned the Urraco ECO as an entry-level model in the premium segment. The machine was developed together with our customers in response to their specific needs – and this is precisely where our innovative strength lies. The outcome is a reliable, mobile twin-shaft shredder that excels in every way from its useful life to its low overall operating costs,” explains Matthias Egarter, CEO of Lindner.

Focus on wood, green and commercial waste
Whether the assignment is pre-shredding or reducing volume, the Urraco ECO is designed to handle all classes of waste wood, as well as green and commercial waste. The motor and drive concept was therefore aligned to these specific applications. “The requirement was clear. Building on the pioneering technology of the Urraco EVO, the new model was developed with smart simplification in mind – without compromising Lindner’s core expertise,” says Andreas Klapf, Head of Development at Lindner.

Proven design, reduced operating costs
As usual, the recycling pioneer has engineered the Urraco ECO to be robust and long-lasting. It features a proven design – coupled with ease of service. “The combination of Lindner’s Skyflap and and the fast-exchange system means that the entire cutting system can be replaced in under 2.5 hours. This offers a high degree of flexibility and maintenance efficiency. And the Urraco ECO also scores well in terms of operating costs with a reduction of up to 30 %” says Thomas Huber, Product Manager Mobile Shredding.
The Urraco ECO was presented for the first time at this year’s International Partner Days in September 2026. Representatives from over 30 countries, as well as from Lindner’s international subsidiaries, could see its quality and robustness for themselves. It was well received and seen as a valuable option for customers whose applications do not require a heavy-duty machine, and even as a door opener to new customer segment

From Austria to the rest of the world
The new Urraco ECO made its debut in September this year at Lindner’s International Partner Days in Spittal an der Drau, Austria. On this occasion, Lindner welcomed representatives from its international subsidiaries and sales partners from more than 30 countries to the company site. During a live shredding demonstration, the participants could see the quality, robustness and high throughput of the new Urraco series for themselves.
The feedback from the markets was consistent across the board. “With the Urraco ECO we can reach customers who want to start with resource management and are looking for a premium product that fits their investment framework – innovative, robust and long-lasting,” says Wulf Schnellwanich, Sales Manager Lindner Germany. “The new twin-shaft shredder makes it possible for municipal waste organisations, for example, to process a range of materials at a reliable throughput and low cost,” adds John Gregory, CEO Lindner America. For Vincent Roger, Sales Director Lindner France, it is “an important door opener for customers who don’t need heavy-duty machines – without compromising on quality”. Frederico Hartmann, Managing Director Lindner LATAM, expects “to open up an entirely new category of customers, especially those who want to process wood into biomass.” And Jeffrey Loo, Area Sales Manager Lindner Asia Pacific, emphasises that “the Urraco ECO scores well when space is limited and for low fuel consumption and purchase costs.”
