Let’s meet in person
Dear readers,
The first half of 2026 has been quite an exciting and eventful time for us here at recovery. There were, after all, many trade fairs and conferences, both large and small. All of them – without exception – were well worth the trip: interesting insights, new recycling methods, food for thought and many fascinating conversations. Two of these are featured in the form of interviews in this issue of recovery.
Julia Stadler, co-managing director, is part of the eighth generation of the family-run company STADLER, which designs and builds sorting plants for the recycling industry worldwide. At IFAT, she presented the latest developments alongside her father and her colleagues. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to ask Julia Stadler a few questions about the company, as well as about her personal career path and what drives her personally. Read the article "It’s important that STADLER remains innovative" from page 42.
At the end of November 2026, the World Reuse & Recycling Forum (WRF Asia) will take place in Shanghai, China. At this year’s 25th International Automotive Recycling Congress (IARC) in Hamburg, we’d already had the opportunity to discuss the organisers’ plans for the WRF; now we’ve been able to publish a more detailed interview in recovery with the WRF Asia congress manager, Ying Liu Reichenbach. Look forward to insights into the planning and the highlights of this major event, and read the article from page 28.
Many more exciting topics await you in recovery 04/2026!
Wishing you a lovely summer,
