The company’s most recent expansion activities in 2024 and 2025 focused on increasing production capacity in Germany at STEINERT UniSort and STEINERT MSort. The move to Mexico reflects the growing importance of the Mexican market for the waste management, metal processing and mining industries and reinforces STEINERT’s commitment to developing long-term partnerships with local operators. By establishing a stronger presence in Mexico, STEINERT aims to respond more directly to customers’ requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of their sorting and separation systems – supported by a dedicated warehouse and local spare-parts availability.

Vinícius Souto and Robert Broughton, both Managing Directors of STEINERT USA, will closely support the expansion: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of STEINERT Mexico. The Mexican market is dynamic and full of incredible potential. This strategic expansion is a vital step forward in achieving our core mission: solving complex sorting challenges to create a world of infinite resources." Customers will benefit from improved access to technical expertise, application consulting and Spanish-language service support, as well as closer coordination during the planning and implementation of new projects. “With the opening of STEINERT Mexico, we have reached another milestone in our growth strategy,” says Peter Funke, CEO of the STEINERT Group.

A major recent project demonstrates the potential of the Mexican market. STEINERT has been selected to design and supply the separation equipment for DIMECA’s new ferrous metal recovery line in central Mexico. The company is a leading scrap metal processor and will use advanced STEINERT separation and recovery technologies to process up to 20 t of material per hour. The new line is designed to increase operational efficiency, and to maximise the recovery of valuable secondary raw materials. The project represents an important milestone for STEINERT’s activities in Mexico and provides a strong foundation for the company’s further development in the market.
