NxtCut Mover – Shift the shear. Not the scrap
15.06.2026Lindemann Metal Recycling has unveiled the NxtCut Mover, a mobile shear that’s designed to bring high-performance processing directly to the scrap.
Built for space-constrained recycling environments, the NxtCut Mover shear combines robust cutting power with on-site flexibility. Mounted on crawler tracks and powered by a diesel drive, the machine can move directly to where it is needed, removing the need to transport scrap across the yard.
At its core, the NxtCut Mover delivers 600 t of cutting force and features a 6.2-m press box, enabling reliable processing of a wide range of light-to-medium scrap. Material can be compressed and cut into predefined lengths of as little as 10 cm, supporting consistent downstream processing and efficient furnace charging.
Built to keep scrap moving
“With the NxtCut Mover, we are responding directly to the evolving needs of modern scrap yards,” said Carl Gustaf Göransson, CEO of Lindemann Metal Recycling. “Flexibility and efficiency are becoming increasingly critical, and this solution allows operators to bring cutting capacity to where it is needed. By reducing internal transport and simplifying material handling, customers can achieve faster throughput and more efficient operations – without compromising on performance or reliability.”
Designed with productivity in mind, the shear’s powerful press wings provide up to 350 tonnes of compaction force, while generous overstroke reduces wear and extends component life. Multiple automated cutting cycles optimise throughput, and the machine’s 400-bar hydraulic system ensures consistent performance even under demanding conditions.
Yard flexibility
A principal advantage of the NxtCut Mover lies in its operational flexibility. By reducing internal scrap transport distances and handling times, operators can ease yard logistics, lower operating costs and respond more easily to fluctuating material flows. The shear also enables alternative processing strategies, including the production of logs with a density of up to 1.4 t/m³.
Durability and ease of maintenance are central to the design. Replaceable, segmented wear plates, protected linear sensors and optimised material pairing across critical components enhance reliability, while attachable maintenance platforms provide safe and easy access for servicing. Hydraulic blade clamping supports long-term, heavy-duty operation.
The NxtCut Mover is powered by a diesel engine from Volvo Penta, delivering high efficiency and dependable performance in off-grid environments. It is also compatible with Lindemann’s digital platform, myLINDEMANN, enabling real-time monitoring, diagnostics and performance tracking.
Optional features, including an attached feeding crane and external pre-fill tipping trough, enhance the machine’s versatility and throughput potential.
With fast installation, minimal foundation needs and its mobility, the NxtCut Mover is a practical solution for recycling operations seeking greater efficiency and flexibility.
