The Circular Economy Event in Asia 2025

Three parallel conferences on batteries, the automotive industry, and electronics in the circular economy

ICM AG is organizing the three conferences to bring together leading companies from the battery, automotive, and electronics sectors, as well as resources and recycling, in Shanghai from November 11 to 14, 2025.

ICM AG, one of the world‘s leading organizers of conferences on the circular economy, which has been in existence for 30 years, is returning to Asia with three parallel conferences on battery, automotive, and electronics recycling, the circular economy, and resource utilization. This high-profile, three-part congress also includes a comprehensive exhibition showcasing state-of-the-art technologies and solutions for the recycling and remanufacturing industry. Participants will join experts from around the world to discuss the latest developments in the circular economy and sustainable resource recovery in Asia and worldwide. ICM AG offers exclusive factory tours at SK tes China, Baosteel, Botree Recycling Technologies, and China Recycling Newell Equipment Company. Key industry and regulatory trends in the Asia-Pacific region include massive regulatory changes due to electrification, investments in battery manufacturing and recycling, geopolitical uncertainties, AI, and digitalization. The increasing need to comply with new ESG, traceability, circular economy, and trade regulations (EU, US, regional standards), the Asian industry‘s increased focus on controlling and recycling its own materials, the integration of recycling into industrial policy by governments to support long-term circular economy goals, and the rapid development of battery technologies, such as the shift to lithium-ion phosphate batteries, are creating new economic and operational challenges.
