Key technologies for the circular economy

Dear readers,

The first half of the year is over – it went by very quickly, didn‘t it? Now the holiday season is upon us, and hopefully we will start the second half of the year feeling refreshed. From October 8 – 15, 2025, Düsseldorf will once again host K 2025, the trade fair that serves as the key to the global plastics and rubber industry. It is already casting its shadow ahead. Read the article from p. 16, “Plastics and circularity – caught between necessity and potential”. In this comprehensive article, you can learn about the extent to which the circular economy is being implemented in different parts of the world and in different countries.

At K 2025, companies from various branches of industry – materials production, mechanical engineering, processing, and recycling – will once again showcase the major advances and future, consistent solutions of the circular economy under the theme “Shaping the circular economy”.

The last K trade fair took place in 2022. 3037 exhibitors presented their latest developments, and 176 000 trade visitors learned about trends in plastics production as well as in the recycling and reuse of waste plastics.

In recovery issue 05, we will present numerous companies exhibiting at K 2025 with their products. Be part of it and send your contributions to by August 21, 2025. We look forward to a lively dialogue.

Wishing you a wonderful and relaxing summer
