Record number of hires at shredder manufacturer UNTHA

UNTHA shredding technology has been growing consistently over the past years. September saw the company set a special record: 16 new employees have started work at the headquarters in Kuchl/Salzburg. This is the strongest month in the company's 50-year history in terms of hires. The newscomers are spread across product management, ERP, production and traineeships in various departments, among others. In addition, several apprentices began their training in mechanical engineering.

This year, a total of 45 fresh team members have been hired so far. This means that the world-renowned manufacturer of industrial shredders currently employs around 300 people at its headquarters in Kuchl alone. A further 200 colleagues work for the international subsidiaries. UNTHA is growing steadily and gradually conquering further markets. That's why ongoing talent acquisition and the development of long-standing team members are of great importance. The company continues to seek candidates for a range of roles, including technical customer service, sales and marketing.

Matthias Kiefer, Head of Human Resources at UNTHA, commented on the recruitment drive: ‘We are a versatile employer, and our team is continuously growing due to new projects and challenges. Our recruiting team really enjoys searching for new colleagues for a variety of different professional fields. Not everyone has to be an expert in mechanical engineering, but a basic interest in technology, an open mind for exciting projects and a passion for working with different departments are crucial.’

Developing talent

UNTHA is committed to training apprentices and developing all its team members. Apprentices in the fields of mechanical engineering, IT and logistics are offered additional English courses and personal development programmes. Internal and external courses are also available to expand employees' skills and know-how. ’Our industry is developing rapidly worldwide, so we as a company cannot afford to stand still either. That is why it is so important that we constantly invest in our team and its further development,' explains Matthias Kiefer. Moreover, the employer offers various benefits: canteen, health care, shuttle service, joint excursions, sports days and goodies, to name just a few.

As a result of these comprehensive efforts, UNTHA has once again been awarded the ‘Top Company’ seal by the employer rating platform kununu.
