Insolvent Nortorf based plant manufacturer Farmatic sold to Eggersmann Group

The insolvency administrator, for the plant manufacturer Farmatic GmbH, has sold the company to the Eggersmann Group, from Marienfeld near Gütersloh, on 1 February 2018. All of the remaining 23 jobs at the Nortorf business location, in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as the Farmatic company name are being retained.

“As a financially sound and socially responsible family business, with experience in the sector, the Eggersmann Group has always been one of our preferred candidates. I am therefore all the more pleased for the employees of Farmatic and their families that we have been able to proceed with the acquisition on fair and good terms,” announced Hendrik Gittermann, insolvency administrator and restructuring expert from the Hamburg law firm of Reimer Rechtsanwälte. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be publicly disclosed.

Farmatic Anlagenbau GmbH is an industry leader in upgrading and finishing of tanks and containers, especially in the areas of wastewater treatment, thermal energy storage, biogas production and agriculture. Customers all over the world from industry, the utilities and waste management sector, and municipal authorities and service companies, as well as agriculture rely on Farmatic products.

The Eggersmann Group, founded in 1951, operates as a network of companies operating internationally in the construction and recycling technology sectors. “With the acquisition of Farmatic, we are expanding our product portfolio in a promising international market and will be able to achieve valuable synergy effects,” commented Managing Director, Karlgünter Eggersmann.
