IMS and Secopta combine their expertise

This partnership combines IMS Messsysteme’s global expertise in high-precision measuring and inspection systems with Secopta’s innovative LIBS-based material analysis solutions. The company will operate under the new name IMS Secopta GmbH.

Secopta analytics GmbH develops and markets analytical solutions based on LIBS technology (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy). These are used in particular in the metal industry, in the recycling and waste recovery sector, in mining and in the raw materials and glass industries.
IMS Messsysteme GmbH is a globally leading provider of high-precision measuring and inspection systems for the steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metal industries. With this investment, the company is specifically expanding its portfolio in the field of automated material analysis.
Strategic expansion in scrap analysis
The ongoing expansion of electric steel production and the growing importance of scrap recycling are increasing demand for precise electromagnetic, optical and radiometric inspection systems, particularly for sorting scrap and construction waste.
