“G as in Gamechanger – The New FUCHS G-Series in Interview”

Interview with Jens Körting, Sales and Marketing Director

At bauma 2025, FUCHS presented its new G-Series – a milestone in driver comfort, efficiency, and digitalization. Sales and Marketing Director Jens Körting talks about technology, trends, and the path into a new era of material handling.

recovery: Mr. Körting, FUCHS unveiled the new G-Series at bauma 2025 what was the idea behind this development?

Jens Körting: Simple: We wanted to redefine the term „state of the art“. The MHL340 G and MHL350 G aren‘t just updates – they‘re a complete restart toward the future. Our goal was to develop machines that are not only powerful and efficient but above all, put the operator front and center. The new G-Series is the result of customer feedback, technical innovation, and a clear focus on sustainable productivity.

recovery: Speaking of driver comfort what’s changed in that area?

Jens Körting: A lot. The newly redesigned control display is a real gamechanger. Operating it is now as intuitive as using a smartphone – clear icons, logical menus, live views of the working area. Then there’s the new lighting concept with a follow-me-home function – sounds simple, but it makes a huge difference in daily operations. And of course, the new joystick variants: three options, all individually configurable via the display. Once you‘ve worked with them, you won’t want to go back.

recovery: What can you tell us about the new Tool Control System?

Jens Körting: Tool Control is basically every operator’s dream. You can switch between attachments quickly and easily, individually adjust flow rates and pressure, and save everything – directly via the display. It saves time, increases flexibility, and makes the G-Series a true all-rounder on the yard.

recovery: There have also been some safety upgrades…

Jens Körting: Absolutely. Our new camera technology is a big leap forward. HD cameras come standard for the best all-around visibility, and there’s an optional AI-powered person detection system – it brings a whole new level of safety to the yard. With the optional Virtual Wall, you can set height and reach limits directly via the display. It protects people, machines – and your nerves.

recovery: What about what’s under the hood?

Jens Körting: The new closed swing circuit allows for more dynamic rotation movements with maximum fuel efficiency – thanks to a separate hydraulic pump that prioritizes the swing mechanism. You’ll notice that immediately in day-to-day use. Speaking of efficiency: our engines are HVO-ready and offer the best fuel consumption in their class. For those who want to go even greener – the electric version is already in the pipeline.

recovery: And in terms of service? Sounds like there’s been some progress there too.

Jens Körting: Correct. We wanted to completely rethink maintenance. The even more user-friendly service platform gives you top-notch access to all key components. And with the optional engine compartment lighting you can see what’s going on even in poor visibility. I’m particularly proud of our new service packages: billing based on operating hours, all maintenance costs included, full cost control.

On top of that, we have state-of-the-art telemetry technology that continuously analyzes machine data. The system detects anomalies early on and automatically issues warnings – long before a real breakdown occurs. That way, maintenance can be planned ahead, and unplanned downtimes are reduced to an absolute minimum. And with our apps, you always have access to machine data, checklists, and maintenance history at your fingertips.

recovery: Final question: what was the feedback like at bauma?

Jens Körting: Overwhelming. The launch was a complete success – and not just because of the tech. People felt that with the G-Series, we didn’t just build machines – we built solutions. And that’s exactly our mission: machines that don’t just run – but truly move things forward.
