In the last financial year, the shredding solutions provider generated approximately € 70 million – an increase of more than € 10 million over the previous year and a new record in the company’s 50-year history Untha. The export rate is around 90 %. All grinding machines are developed, produced and assembled at the Kuchl site. Last year, more than 400 machines were delivered to customers from different industries. Customized solutions for special materials and customer requirements were very often required. Shredding machines with 80 % in-house production “Made in Austria” are used worldwide, among other things for the recovery of valuable materials for recycling, the utilization of residual wood and waste and the transformation of waste into fuels secondary. Untha thus makes an important contribution to the sustainable management of recycling, the preservation of resources and the reduction of waste.

“We want to continue to develop and grow sustainably. This year has started well, there is a strong demand for high quality shredders all over the world. We are constantly looking for reinforcements for our team and will intensify the field of research and development in 2022,” says Alois Kitzberger.
Innovative grinding technologies
In addition to the development of new grinding machines, Untha grinding technology mainly promotes the digital networking of machines. UNTHA Genius is an intelligent assistance system with which all crushing machine data can be evaluated in real time. The software solution informs customers about all important processes and provides fast decision support directly on the smartphone, tablet or PC. By accurately monitoring the condition of machines, production can be optimized and maintenance can be planned in advance. In 2022, the grinding professionals at Untha will further expand the application possibilities of UNTHA Genius and launch the digital customer portal “MyUNTHA”.
