“Processing and Recycling 2026” Conference
07.10.2026The programme for this year’s “Processing and Recycling 2026” Conference, which takes place from 5 to 6 November in Freiberg, has been finalised. It covers the following key topics:
- News from UVR-FIA GmbH
- Machinery, equipment and sensors
- Critical raw materials
- Processes and modelling
- Complex recycling

As usual, the conference offers opportunities for lively professional exchange between academia and industry between the programme items. In addition, participants can look forward to the presentation of the Heinrich Schubert Prize, a poster exhibition with short presentations, and the chance to tour the UVR-FIA GmbH technical center. Thursday evening will be rounded off with a social event at Schankhaus 1863.

The event will take place on:
- 5 and 6 November 2026 (Thursday/Friday)
- at the DBI Conference Centre, Halsbrücker Straße 34, 09599 Freiberg
Online registration is now open until 31 October 2026 inclusive, or until the maximum number of participants has been reached. (Cancellations are also possible until 31 October 2026).
Participation fees & terms:
- Standard conference fee (including evening event): € 395.00 (gross)
- First presenter: free of charge (including evening event)
- Poster presenters and second presenters (including evening event): € 198.00 (including VAT)
- Students within the standard period of study who provide a valid certificate of enrolment in advance are exempt from the fee (excluding the evening event); a charge of € 50.00 applies for attendance at the evening event (only with prior registration by email)
- Pensioners: exempt from the fee (excluding the evening event, only with prior registration)
The symposium is organised by the Society for Process Engineering UVR-FIA e. V. Freiberg. The event is hosted by UVR-FIA GmbH in cooperation with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Starting Friday afternoon, the conference will transition into a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of UVR-FIA GmbH – featuring a champagne reception and evening event. To help us plan our anniversary celebration, please send a brief, non-binding confirmation by mid-June regarding your expected attendance (please indicate whether you will be attending alone or with a companion).
