RIGK GmbH

RIGK GmbH positions itself with an integral approach across all stages of the plastic cycle and looks forward to presenting it at this year's IFAT in Munich. With the establishment of the PlastCert department and the integration of Hannawald Plastik GmbH in 2023, RIGK's scope now spans Design for Recycling, certification of recyclability, recycled content, recycling processes, licensing of packaging materials, and recyclate distribution. In 2024, RIGK aims to strengthen its comprehensive approach, contributing to a functional circular economy.

Markus Dambeck, Chairman of the Management Board, stresses the importance of expertise across the entire value chain to boost recycling rates and improve regranulate quality. The company's goal is to increase take-back volumes and promote recyclate use.

Actively engaging in the product design phase, RIGK certifies plastic product recyclability through PlastCert. The company then retrieves plastic packaging and plastics through its take-back systems, collaborates on sorting and processing with partners, and participates in recyclate distribution through its subsidiary, plastship GmbH. RIGK also supports sustainable recyclate use via PlastCert in collaboration with recyclers.

Internationally, RIGK advocates for sustainable take-back systems. Its decade-long presence in Romania, successful ERDE system transfer to Switzerland, and involvement in establishing the ProREP take-back system in Chile in 2023 demonstrate global commitment. The company is active in a consulting project for a take-back system in Spain and is a member of EPRO, an international plastic recycling association.

Jan Bauer, RIGK's Managing Director, emphasizes the company's mission beyond borders, promoting a circular economy, reducing CO2 emissions, and ensuring sustainable resource management. Despite industry challenges, the successes in 2023 inspire confidence for the future.

RIGK invites participation, offering tailored take-back and recycling solutions, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and the collective journey toward a circular economy. The company remains committed to innovation and sustainability in plastics recycling and invites you to take the path towards a circular economy together – "Let's navigate our way towards a circular economy together."
