Digital intelligence for efficient sorting processes

At the upcoming IFAT trade fair in Munich, Entsorgungstechnik BAVARIA GmbH will be presenting its latest developments for sorting plants for solid recyclables, such as lightweight packaging, commercial waste, plastics, metals, waste paper, etc., which do much more than just precise separation: they think ahead. The focus is on intelligent systems that continuously monitor, analyse and optimise the entire sorting process.

At the heart of the systems are comprehensive material flow analyses with integrated data evaluation. These enable material-dependent fluctuations to be detected at an early stage and the corresponding sorting parameters to be adjusted automatically. This not only stabilises sorting processes but also optimises them in a targeted manner – resulting in a significantly improved quality of the end product.

By integrating holistic material flow management, operators can keep track of all relevant performance data. This includes, for example, measuring power consumption and other machine performance indicators, which can be used to identify peak loads and make energy use more efficient. This is complemented by smart preventive maintenance functions that enable maintenance work to be planned on the basis of continuously collected operating data.

Special attention is also paid to machine protection through permanent thermal imaging monitoring. Through sensor technology, intelligent evaluations and automatic shutdown scenarios or integration into the existing fire protection concept, the system not only increases safety for people and machines but also contributes to maintaining the value of the entire plant.

The result: significantly higher production reliability, minimal downtime and maximum plant availability. Visitors to the trade fair can experience this machine protection system live and learn how modern digitalisation is shaping the sorting technology of the future.
