Forrec will be attending Ecomondo 2021 with new innovative solutions for the waste treatment
Forrec is enthusiastic to attend Ecomondo 2021 and introduce some new interesting solutions for the waste management industry.
Amongst the news the participants to the trade show will find the shredder TX1600, a machine designed expressly for the treatment of end-of-life tires. There will also be some news regarding FR5000, a powerful multi crusher, and the TQ1800 shredder, a flexible and efficient four-shaft shredder.
The TX1600 shredder
TX1600 shredder is the most relevant innovation to be presented at Ecomondo. The visitor will be able to see the actual machine installed and shown to the public.
This year Forrec will introduce many R&D innovations.
The proper disposal of end-of-life tyres is crucial in the treatment of industrial waste because often this particular type of junk is stored in landfills, areas teeming with harmful insects that carry with them the risk of spreading diseases and fires that are difficult to extinguish.
Fortunately, today end-of-life tyres can be recovered and reused, in particular for the production of Tire Derived Fuel, required in large quantities by cement factories.
Forrec created the TX1600 shredder to fulfill the specific needs of the market with a careful and effective solution, increasing the productivity at the same time to make the investment economically sustainable.
From a technical point of view, the most remarkable innovation is given by the "clean cut" blades with which the machine is equipped; this allows to overcome the problem of fraying the steel wire contained in the rubber of the tyre.
The FR5000 Multi Crusher
The existing FR5000 Multi Crusher has been improved to make the machine even more powerful and performing.
The innovations mainly concern the cutting system and the facilitations for the maintenance of the machine itself:
- the blade-holding are removable by unbolting the flanges, without removing the hopper or other mechanical parts;
- central and lateral counter-blades are totally independent, without support crosspieces to optimize the unloading of the processed material;
- counter-blades are positioned on both sides of the blade to guarantee the same wear on both sides and thus doubling the life of the blades themselves;
- output size is adjustable by replacing the counter blades.

The Multi Crusher is designed to be installed as the primary machine in plants for the treatment of municipal solid waste, bulky waste, industrial waste and for all kinds of materials.
The TQ1800 shredder
This machine has also been optimized to achieve even higher quality results and increase productivity; in particular, the shredding power has been increased up to 260 kW and the output material selection grid has been improved. In this new, more powerful and performing form, the TQ1800 shredder is suitable for the treatment of refrigerators, WEEE, cables and plastics.
