Metals can be easily recycled, you just have to separate them as cleanly as possible to obtain very pure fractions. But especially when the metals are mixed in fine-grained recycling fractions, removing them can prove quite tricky. Galloo, one of the biggest recyclers in Europe, and the sorting specialist STEINERT have teamed up and developed a new separator for NF metals. Possible input materials include automotive shredder residue (ASR), bottom ashes and waste electrical and electronic equipment, one focus being on the recovery of aluminium, zinc and copper.
